INSTRUCTORS / TRAINERS

Greg and Lauren own and operate Peppercorn Ranch.  They live on the property and directly supervise horse care as well as all ranch activities.  They love introducing new people to the wonderful world of equestrian sports!

Greg has over 50 years professional equestrian experience on top of UC Davis degrees in Animal Science and Anthropology.  He holds a MA in Educational Administration as well as a California Community College Instructor's Credential in Horsemanship.  He has competed in Eventing, Dressage, and Jumpers from coast to coast of the US and trained numerous riders and horses through regional and national championships. 

Lauren began serious riding in 1977. She has successfully competed in Eventing, Dressage, and Jumpers.  She has been VCCDS First and Second Level Dressage Champion and has extensive experience as a riding instructor. She graduated from USC with a degree in Psychology and earned Multiple Subject and Special Education Teaching Credentials.  Lauren serves on the  Board of the Ventura County Chapter of  the California Dressage Society.
