(Only people taking regular lessons or in our training program are allowed to lease.)
QUARTER LEASE means you ride 2 days each week.
HALF LEASE means you ride 3 days each week.
FULL LEASE means you may ride every day.
HOUR LEASE means you pay to ride on your own for an hour or so.
DAY LEASE means you pay for use of a horse for a day (competitions, clinics, fox hunting, etc.).
People may use their riding days for lessons, competitions, clinics, etc. Leases may have use of a particular animal or of various suitable mounts.
Lessons, training, or other fees are charged separately as if the lessee owned the horse.
Horses are available to lease by regular clients of Peppercorn Ranch; people involved in some kind of program with Peppercorn Ranch. We do not lease to anyone outside of regular Ranch clientele.
All leased horses may be used in lessons with other riders when the lessor is not using the horse.
Lesson, training, or other fees are charged separately as if the lessee owned the horse.
Lease fees are based on the actual expenses required to maintain a horse: Feed, shoeing, dental, worming, veterinary, and manure disposal. Extraordinary maintenance costs incurred by an individual animal, such as drugs for chronic conditions or specialized shoeing, would be added to the base lease fee of that individual. No facility or business overhead costs are charged to lease fees; very similar to what you might pay to keep the horse at your home. (Costs based on a large horse with average shoeing requirements).
Lease fees are flat rate per month due at the beginning of each month.
Peppercorn Ranch will provide turn out, minor veterinary treatments, and other needed handling services at no extra charge (these services are charged extra when you pay to board a horse).
Should a lessee choose to body clip, provide bedding, or other extra service for their leased horse, they will be charged for the service (clipping, blanketing, cost of bedding, etc.).
Peppercorn Ranch / Riverview Pony Club will provide basic equipment (tack) for leased horses. Sheets, blankets, wraps, and other items beyond the basics would be provided by the lessee.
Should a horse require extraordinary veterinary, shoeing, or other services, the lessee has the option to pay for these services should the lessee desire to provide them.
Horses may be available to lease and taken to live at other facilities by private agreement with Peppercorn Ranch / Riverview Pony Club.
